Rugby World Cup 2019 organisers are urging fans not to miss out on the opportunity to apply for team and stadium ticket packs in advance of today's deadline.

The application window via www.rugbyworldcup.com/tickets closes at 23:59 JST/14:59 GMT on 12 February and organisers are delighted with strong domestic and global demand for both team and stadium packs with applications made by fans in more than 100 nations.

Applications have surged since the launch of the official mascot Ren-G and a return to test rugby action with the Six Nations, Americas Rugby Championship and Rugby Europe Championship all whetting the appetite.

The strong demand reflects the excitement that has been building the length and breadth of the host nation and fans around the world as the tournament.

Demand for supporter tours, provided via 21 official global travel agents, has also been strong, underscoring the appeal of what promises to be a special, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience Asia’s first Rugby World Cup.

Tournament Director Alan Gilpin said: “We are delighted by the strong demand for Rugby World Cup tickets, both in the host nation and around the world. The team and stadium packs have proven very popular and are only available for a few more hours, so our message to fans is to apply now."

Once the window closes, a ballot will be run and all applicants will receive communication from the Japan Rugby 2019 organising committee at the end of the month. Rugby World Cup 2019 Worldwide Partner Mastercard is offering fans who apply for tickets using their Mastercard the chance to receive a double entry in the ticketing ballot.

The team and stadium pack phase is a key phase in an accessible ticketing programme that aims to give the Japanese public and fans around the world the best-possible chance of securing Rugby World Cup 2019 tickets.
