Following an exciting HSBC New Zealand Sevens in Hamilton, it was the Blitzbok speedster Seabelo Senatla who finished as the DHL Impact Player for the tournament.

Devastatingly good on attack, the World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year in 2016 put in a huge shift and ended the tournament with some exceptionally big stats. He was impressive in both defence and attack, but it was his 24 carries that gave him the edge over the other contenders.

The DHL Impact Player was tightly contested in Hamilton with Senatla finishing just one point above Spain’s Manuel Sainz (48) with Fiji’s Eroni Sau a point further back.

Senatla put in an impressive display notching up some massive numbers across the tournament. With 24 carries, 13 tackles, 11 breaks and one offload to finish with a total of 49 points. Not only was he the DHL Impact Player in Sydney, but he also tops the DHL Performance Tracker after four rounds of the 2018 series.

Consistency is key and Senatla always performs.
