The Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens was a truly unforgettable tournament for Amenoni Nasilasila. The Fijian pace man was at the centre of Fiji's success and by the end of the night he had deservedly taken home the HSBC Player of the Final award in Hong Kong.

The 26-year-old put on a show under the bright lights of the Hong Kong Stadium. His seering pace awed the crowd while his special footballing ability allowed him to offload effortlessly and create countless opportunities for his team mates.

In his sides 24-12 cup final win over Kenya, their third tournament win of the 2018 world series, Nasilasila showed just how crucial he is to this Fijian side, scoring a try and handing over another to team mate Vatemo Ravouvou after one of his signature breaks.

"What he does is asks questions of the defence all the time," said head coach Gareth Baber. "He's selfless. If he's not selected he's behind the team, he knows his job and he does it to the utmost."

The next round of the world series takes place in Singapore on 28-29 April.
