The sixth leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series took place in Vancouver over the weekend and what a tournament it was for Fiji's Sevuloni Mocenacagi. The Pacific islander touched down twice in his side's 31-12 Cup final win against Kenya and was rewarded for his efforts after being named the HSBC Player of the Final.

Mocenacagi was in fine form throughout the tournament, constantly threatening the line going forward and showed true determination in defence, making countless tackles and turnovers for his side. However, he saved his best performance for Fiji's 67th Cup final, where he was imperious.

The Fijian's first try was arguably his most important. With time up on the clock in the first half and his side 12-5 down, Mocenacagi claimed the restart and took it all the way, almost untouched, to level up the scores going into half time. This try staged the comeback and when the sides took to the field after half time, the 27-year-old was quick to touch down for his second of the match. Making a half break, Mocenacagi opened it up for Amenoni Nasilasila who took it up the middle before giving back the offload.

"Last year he was a forward and this year we're using him in that centre position," said Fiji head coach Gareth Baber. "He's a threat every time he gets the ball, he's a big powerful runner. He did excellent in that final, gave us go forward ball which is always a necessity in the game of sevens, he was smart with how he presented the ball and got it away and he was a threat from that kickoff which was crucial before half time."

The seventh leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series takes place in Hong Kong on 6-8 April.
