Fiji may not have achieved all they wanted in Cape Town with a fifth place finish overall, but their stand out player Amenoni Nasilasila walked away as the DHL Impact Player for the tournament.
A nightmare to defend against, Nasilasila clocked up some huge stats at the second round of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, in what was a truly balanced performance. Nobody even came close to him in the tackle statistics, clocking up 23 in total, nine more than anybody else in the top seven players at the tournament. 24 carries, six breaks and seven offloads (highest of any player) gave him a total of 60 points, a staggering total. The next closest player, Canada's Justin Douglas, finished on 47 points.
In the overall standings, it's South Africa's Seabelo Senatla leading the charge in the DHL Performance Tracker with 88 points, five ahead of Nasilasila. Harry Jones of Canada and Samoa's Alamanda Motuga both sit on 79 points overall, while Tila Mealoi sits in fifth place overall with 74.
