Dubai champions South Africa have named an unchanged 13-man squad to contest their home leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series in Cape Town.

The Blitzboks stormed to a 24-12 Cup final win over New Zealand in Dubai to open their world series account for 2018. Neil Powell's side will contest Pool A alongside Kenya France and Russia.

"We have a tough pool in our home tournament and it's going to be physical but I think we are going to be ready," said Blitzboks captain Philip Snyman, who scored in the Dubai final. "To play in front of family and friends is really special for us and to play here in the mother city Cape Town, in front of a packed stadium, is going to be something really special."

Runners-up in Dubai, New Zealand, will play Australia, Spain and USA in Pool B but will be without Joe Ravouvou for the first three matches after being cited for a high tackle in the Dubai final.

Reigning Cape Town champions England, who finished third in Dubai, will contest Pool C against Scotland, Argentina and invitational team Uganda.

Rio 2016 gold medallists and 2015-16 series champions Fiji play Samoa, Canada and Wales in Pool D.
