By participating in the World Rugby Barbarians v All Blacks Prize Draw (the Draw) you agree to be bound by and to comply with these terms and conditions (as amended from time to time by World Rugby Limited (World Rugby) in its sole discretion) (the Terms and Conditions). This competition is run by World Rugby Limited, a private limited company whose registered office is at World Rugby House, 8-10 Pembroke St Lower, Dublin 2. Any complaints regarding the Draw should be directed to this address.

INTRODUCTION

These Terms and Conditions are the competition rules that apply to the Draw.

World Rugby reserves the right to alter, amend or supplement the Terms and Conditions from time to time in its absolute discretion where it considers it necessary or desirable to do so. You agree that no liability shall attach to World Rugby as a result of any such change and each participant in the Draw (Participant) is advised to check this webpage regularly from time to time.

The Draw is open from 18 October 2017 (the Start Date) and shall end on 1 November 2017 (the End Date). No entries made after the End Date shall be accepted.

World Rugby will be the sole decision-maker of any matter of interpretation of the Terms and Conditions and any aspect of the Draw. World Rugby will not enter into correspondence relating to such matters and its decision as to any matter arising out of or in connection with the Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to the award of any Prize, shall be final.

ENTRY INTO THE DRAW

Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the Draw is open to all World Rugby email subscribers aged 12 years and over. You hereby warrant that the Draw is not a prohibited form of gambling or gaming in the jurisdiction in which you are resident and acknowledge that all entries from Participants resident in such jurisdictions will be void.

All Participants aged under 18 years must obtain consent from a parent or responsible guardian (who must be aged 18 years or over) before entering the Draw. All such Participants must read these Terms and Conditions carefully and ensure that a parent or responsible guardian also reads and agrees to these Terms and Conditions before entering.

Employees, officers, directors or consultants of or advisers to, or any other person with a formal relationship with (and/or immediate family members of any of the foregoing) World Rugby and/or related event organisers may not participate in the Draw.

We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of all Participants and the determination of qualification for entry shall be at the sole discretion of World Rugby. We may request proof of identity your identity in order to verify your eligibility to enter the Draw. Failure to provide proof of identity when requested may result in you being disqualified from entering the Draw.

You may enter the Draw by clicking on the relevant hyperlink contained in the World Rugby newsletter. This link will direct you to the Ticketmaster website where you can purchase tickets for the Barbarians v New Zealand Match on 4 November 2017 (the Match). We cannot accept submissions by any other means (including post). Multiple entries into the Draw per email subscriber will not be accepted.

Once you conclude your purchase of tickets for the Match, your name, email address and any other contact details you provide to Ticketmaster at the time of purchase will be added to an encrypted file of Draw entrants which will be shared by Ticketmaster with World Rugby.  The data contained in this encrypted file will only be used by World Rugby to carry out the Prize Draw and to contact and publish the names of the Prize Draw winners.

No agents or third parties can apply to participate in the Draw on a Participant's behalf. No responsibility will be accepted by World Rugby for any applications not received by World Rugby or that cannot be delivered, received or entered for any technical or other reason. Any such applications will be deemed void. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt.

World Rugby shall have no liability whatsoever for any costs, expenses or losses incurred by any Participant as a result of his/her participation in the Draw.

PRIZE AND SELECTING THE WINNER

The prize awarded in respect of the Draw (the Prize) will be one of the following

  • Five tickets to sit in the Twickenham Royal Box and be a VIP for the day at the Barbarians v All Blacks match on 4 November 2017.

  • Five places at the exclusive New Zealand Rugby Union 125th Anniversary Dinner at Twickenham on Wednesday 1 November 2017, with the All Blacks Team present.

  • Two people to dine exclusively with Barbarians Team on Thursday 2 November in a top central London restaurant.

The prizes provide access to the events only and do not include transportation to or from the event or accommodation. World Rugby reserves the right to alter or withdraw any element of the Prize or offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value where unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond its reasonable control require it to do so. No cash alternative will be offered.

The Prize is awarded at World Rugby’s complete discretion and in particular will not be awarded to any Participant who, in the opinion of World Rugby, has breached any of these Terms and Conditions or otherwise acted improperly or dishonestly.

The Prize is for the personal use of the winner only. It may not be sold, auctioned or used for any other commercial purpose and the winner warrants that it shall not sell, auction or use the Prize for any commercial purpose. When attending the Match at Twickenham on 4 November 2017, each winner and Draw Participant must also comply with the Ticket Terms and Conditions (as notified to you at the time you purchase your tickets).

The Prize winners will be drawn at random shortly after the End Date. The winners will be drawn from those who have purchased tickets via the hyperlink contained in the World Rugby newsletter between the Start Date and End Date.

The winner will be notified by email (using the email address collected in the encrypted file referred to above) in respect of the Prizes at which time they must confirm their contact details, prior to the Prize being delivered.

If the Prize winner is aged under 18 years, he/she shall not be permitted to attend the events unless they are accompanied by a parent or responsible guardian (who must be aged 18 years or above).

If your name is drawn as a Prize winner, your name will be published on the World Rugby Website during the week immediately following the conclusion of the Draw. Alternatively, details of each winner's name can be obtained by other Draw Participants who send a stamped self-addressed envelope to World Rugby at World Rugby House, 8-10 Pembroke Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland, marked for the attention of Sarah Griffiths.

GENERAL

By entering this Draw, the winning Participant agrees that he/she may be requested to take part in publicity for World Rugby or other such promotional activities of World Rugby relating to the Draw. If you win a Prize, please note that it is a condition of the Draw that World Rugby may use each Prize winner’s name, likeness, image, voice and biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes in connection with the Draw in all media without further notice and without the need to make any payment to any winner for such use.

If you do not agree to World Rugby using your personal information in the manner described above in the event that you win a Prize, do not enter the Draw.

Each Participant, by entering the Draw, consents to the processing of his/her personal data by World Rugby in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and World Rugby's Privacy Policy available here.

If you wish to attend the Match but do not wish to enter the Draw, you may purchase tickets to the Match via channels other than the hyperlink contained within the World Rugby newsletter.

World Rugby will only use the personal information provided by or obtained about a Participant for administering the Draw and to ensure compliance with these Terms and Conditions. Participants have the right to receive a copy of the personal data that World Rugby holds about them (a small fee will be payable) and to correct any inaccuracies in their personal data.

Notwithstanding Paragraphs stated above, World Rugby shall not use the personal data of any Participant aged under 18 years unless such Participant’s parent or guardian (who must be aged 18 years or older) has consented in writing to such use.

The Draw and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Draw or these Terms and Conditions.

NEITHER WORLD RUGBY NOR ANY OF ITS AFFLIATES, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS WILL BE LIABLE (TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW) FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OUR ORGANISING OR HOLDING THIS DRAW OR AS A RESULT OF YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE DRAW OR AS A RESULT OF YOUR WINNING, COLLECTING, USE OR ENJOYMENT OF ANY PRIZE, OR IF THE DRAW DOES NOT RUN AS PLANNED. IF THIS DRAW OR ANY PART OF IT IS NOT CAPABLE OF RUNNING OR BEING COMPLETED AS PLANNED FOR ANY REASON, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO REASONS OF INFECTION BY COMPUTER VIRUS, BUGS, TAMPERING, UNAUTHORISED INTERVENTION, TECHNICAL FAILURES OR ANY OTHER CAUSES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF WORLD RUGBY, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL, TERMINATE, MODIFY OR SUSPEND THE DRAW. WORLD RUGBY CAN CHANGE THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OR CANCEL THE DRAW AT ITS DISCRETION AND WITHOUT INCURRING LIABILITY AS A RESULT.
