More fans will have access to Women's Rugby World Cup 2017 after organisers opened a ticket exchange programme for the tournament in Dublin and Belfast.

With the pool stages now almost entirely sold-out, the exchange programme will give those without tickets a chance to see some of the world’s best players in action, while also raising funds for injured players.

The ticket exchange programme allows fans those leaving the venues before all three matches have been completed to donate their ticket for resale, at face value, to those requiring tickets at UCD each day.

The first 300 people leaving each day can exchange their ticket for a Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 pin, as a thank-you from the IRFU Charitable Trust who will be the beneficiary of the programme.

How the ticket exchange works:

  • Supporters leaving the venues after the first or second match on each day will be provided with the opportunity to donate their ticket to the IRFU Charitable Trust re-use Programme.
  • The first 300 people to exchange a ticket each match day will receive a WRWC pin.
  • Tickets will them be re-issued and sold via the on-site Ticket Office, at full face value, with all profits from the resold ticket going to the IRFU Charitable Trust.

Tickets remain on general sale for the final stages of #WRWC2017, which take place on 22 and 26 August in Kingspan Stadium and Queens University, Belfast, while a small number of tickets remain for match day one of the pool stages in Billings Park, UCD.
