The HSBC Sydney Sevens was a thrilling spectacle of rugby, which resulted in a huge third tournament win of the series for South Africa. Throughout the course of the weekend, there were some fantastic images and here are a selection of the best.

RODWELL STEPS OUT 

England's James Rodwell is tackled by Kenya's Willy Ambaka on day one of the men's tournament. England went on to make the final, losing out to South Africa.

LANDRY v CASLICK

One of the stand out matches of the weekend was the women's Cup semi-final between Canada and Australia which involved a great break from Ghislaine Landry and equally good chase from Charlotte Caslick.

NORTON ENTERS RECORD BOOKS

England's Dan Norton became the second highest try scorer of all-time at the HSBC Sydney Sevens, overtaking Argentina's Santiago Gomez Cora. 

GREEN HITS THE GAS

Australia's Ellia Green was in imperious form in Sydney, causing issues for all opponents she faced.

SENATLA BOWS OUT

South Africa's Seabelo Senatla played his final tournament of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2016-17 in Sydney, scoring nine tries and scooping the HSBC Player of the Final award.
