The Men's Repechage took place in Monaco on 18-19 June with Spain 7s triumphing over Samoa 7s in a thrilling final.

The women's event took place in Dublin over the weekend of 25-26 June 2016. 16 teams battle it out for the final place in Rio that saw Spain beat Russia in a hard fought final to make it a double for the Spanish teams
